Full text not available from this repository. (Request a copy)The essay in social ethics tries to scrutinize the controversial phenomenon of precarization. To that end, four steps are taken. In a first chapter, a short overview of the discourse in the social sciences serves to outline the issue at stake. A second chapter argues for the use of the term in social ethical debates. In a third step, ethical cri-teria for the evaluation of precarization are presented. The essay closes with a short outlook on possible social and political strategies to fight or at least soften the consequences of precarization.
