Athanasiou, Stefanos (2018). Orthodoxie und Orthopraxis. Der rechte Glaube in verschiedener Praxis. Internationale kirchliche Zeitschrift, 108(2), pp. 160-171. Stämpfli
Full text not available from this repository.Even though the theological dialogue between the Old Catholic and Orthodox Church came to a successful theological conclusion in 1987, church unity remains outstanding. It would seem that orthodoxy (right theological doctrine) is inadequate to ensure the trust required for church unity. The dialogue between the churches raised questions concerning orthopraxis (according to right praxis); whereby, unity has yet to materialize. Orthodoxy and orthopraxis should be seen together and influence each other mutually. Thus the search for truth not only involves theoretical research of the sources but the endeavor to understand the truth in the midst of life. Being able to recognize this truth in the praxis of others is, therefore, a fundamental requirement of practically “incarnated dialogue.”
