This paper aims to tell the story of what the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group- LIFG is in theconceptual and historical perspective. The LIFG denies connections to al-Qaeda and it is identifiedas an Islamist national group. This Jihadist activist group attacks against the Qadhafi regime inorder Òto save the Libyan Muslims from the oppression, tyranny and even more importantly, fromthe deviation of Qadhafi from true Islam,Ó in 1995. As a conclusion part of the paper, theideological roots of the group, international connections and politic perspectives of this group will be discussed, this paper will also provide fighting strategies regarding the LIFG.
