The aim of this article is to analyze the position of jurists from the classical period (VIII–XVI century) on homosexual acts, liwāṭ and siḥāq, focusing on the four Sunni maḏāhib and the ẓāhirī one and to look at the issue in the Qurʾān and Sunna.
