Full text not available from this repository. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Serbian theologian Nikolaj Velimirović wrote two doctoral thesis at the University of Bern, the first at the (Old) Catholic Faculty of the University in Bern, the second at the Philosophical-Historical Faculty. In both cases, Old Catholic professors were his mentor: the New Testament scholar Eduard Herzog and the (church) historian Philipp Woker. The article concentrates on the time when Nikola Velimirović (later: Nikolaj) worked on his thesis, his correspondence with Eduard Herzog, who was also the first Old Catholic Bischop of Zwitserland and his memories in later times.
