This paper reviews the sources on the geographical origin of the C., M. and P. Titinii active in Rome in the first decades of the second century BCE. The epigraphic attestations of M., C. and P. Titinii on several cippi from Caere seem to be more meaningful than the evidence from Minturnae. At present, it is safer to assume that Caere was the town of origin of the Titinii who, like other Etruscan families, sought to join to the nobilitas in the middle Republic.
