In this presentation within the Summer Summit 2023 Middle East Mediterranean, organised by the Università della Svizzera Italiana, I introduced the concept of gender equality in international law and the role of the UN in this framework. I then gave an introduction to the concept of intersectionality, before focusing on the Constitutions of some countries in the Middle East. At the end, I discusses the concept of Islamic Feminism.
