This experimental session aims toreconstruct forest utilisation practicesand rural social conditions throughthe historical source of photography.Three presentations of 20 images,each photograph shown for only 20seconds, are being commented by therespective presenters. Thereafter, acommentator points out the core to-pics of the presentations. The speed ofthe comment on each image mirrorsthe immediacy of the visual commu-nication.The session finally reflects onthe methodology of historical sourcecriticism in the context of forest-his-torical image sources.
