Beide Autoren waren für die Anthropologie in ähnlicher Weise von Bedeutung, so dass beide Autoren parallel gelesen werden. Die Teilnehmenden reflektieren Möglichkeiten und Hindernisse für „Ko-Präsenz“ im Sinne von Gleichörtlichkeit und Gleichzeitigkeit in zunehmend fragmentierten Gesellschaften sowie die Rolle von ethnographisch Fremdem in einer globalisierten Welt.
