The case merits special attention because of its association with psoriasis and with an episode of systemic vasculitis. Although patients with sternocostoclavicular hyperostosis usually lack the tissue type antigen HLA-B27, there are grounds for suspicion that the disease is related to the group of seronegative spondylo-arthritides.
