Full text not available from this repository.The author was an active collaborator of the first 50 years of palynologie research in Switzerland. Lot of results was gathered on a transversal section through the western Swiss Alps: from the northern alpine foreland through the Bernese Alps down the slopes of the deep and dry valley of Wallis and again upwards the Pennine Chains and by the Simplon-Mountains to uppermost parts of Southern Alps. Vegetational history of all treated localities is given and a synthesis of results discussed.
