Motor abilities, executive functions and cerebral blood flow in pediatric cancer survivors (Unpublished). In: Forschertag der Universität-Kinderkliniken Bern. Bern. 11.10.2018.

Survival rates for pediatric cancer have increased up to over 80%, because of improved diagnostic tools and treatment. However, pediatric cancer survivors bear a high risk for late effects including executive function deficits, impaired motor abilities and altered brain structure and function. Since, interventions targeting these difficulties are required aim of the ongoing Brainfit study is 1st to investigate executive functions, motor abilities, brain structure and function in pediatric cancer survivors compared to typically developing children; and 2nd to investigate the efficacy of cognitive and physical training in pediatric cancer survivors. Since only the first measurement point is nearly finished, an overview about the progress of the study and some preliminary analyses of the first study aim will be presented.
