It is an everyday reality that worsening weather conditions linked to climate change increase people’s exposure to extreme events like floods, and slow-onset environmental changes such as drought, desertification, and rising sea-levels. Such changes may pose a serious threat to the affected individuals and eventually compel environmental migrations at the internal, regional or international level.
