This paper relates a double journey, undertaken by its author, around and about borders. The first part goes back to the origins of Frontières, théâtre-essai (Passage d'encres, 2014). The second part traces the development of a critical reading of borders/boundaries in literary works by introducing border typologies and poetics in these works, evoking among other things the endeavor that led to the collective work Poétique des frontières. A transversal approach to French-language literature, 2021.
