An object-oriented framework represents variations in the application do-main via so-called hot spots. Maturing the right set of hot spots requires an iterative de-velopment process which gives rise to incomplete framework documentation. This paper shows that by measuring the changes between different releases of the framework, it is possible to detect undocumented hot spots. We expect that our work will result in better documented and consequently more reusable frameworks.
