Described is a colorimetric method of nitrate determination, which is especially suitable for routine work on nutrient media. The range of measurement lies between 0,5 and 10 μg nitrogen in the form of nitrate per sample. Practically no disturbance is caused by the other ions of the most common nutrient solutions.
