We read with great interest the Letter to the Editor by Pan et al commenting on our article “Does Orthodontic Extraction Treatment Improve the Angular Position of Third Molars? A Systematic Review.”1 They raised points about the assessment of risk of bias and the feasibility of conducting a meta-analysis. As we will show below, we used a state-of-the-art method2 to evaluate the quality of the included articles and, according to our protocol, we correctly chose not to perform a meta-analysis.
