Work on the "Hydrological Atlas of Switzerland" was set about in 1989 and a first edition will be published in 1992. The atlas represents a systematic sequence of 18 hydrological maps, coordinating spatially wide-spread detail-studies and data with a synoptic view of Switzerland. To ensure a daily use, the maps will usually be carried out at a scale of 1:500'000. Several kinds of maps are included and examples given. New paths are treaded for the design to give the atlas a wide independency.
