Full text not available from this repository.We examined how stress induced by women’s experienced lack of fit for leadership can compromise their success in job interviews. Women reported higher stress than men during an interview for a leadership position and performed more poorly. Moreover, interviewing for a leadership role emphasizing agency as compared to communality provoked greater physiological stress among women but not men.
