Die Vereinigung Hotels Bern übt Kritik an Bern Welcome, welche in ihrer Tourismusstrategie aus ökologischen Gründen auf die Bespielung der Fernmärkte verzichtet. Der Tourismus-Experte Marcus Roller von der Universität Bern ordnet die Strategie ein und sagt, warum die Kritik nur bedingt angebracht ist.
