New experimental results on DyBr3 and TmBr3 are presented, which complete our systematic studies of molecular and ionic sublimation of lanthanide tribromides LnBr3 by Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry. Similar to other thermally stable LnBr3 (Ln = La–Lu with the exception of Pm, Sm, Eu, and Yb), both studied compounds sublime congruently, mainly in the form of monomer and dimer molecules; the associated ions LnBr4–,g and Ln2Br7−,g dominate among the charged vapor constituents. The partial vapor pressures of the molecules and the equilibrium constants of the ion-molecular reactions are determined; the standard molar thermochemical properties such as sublimation enthalpy, reaction enthalpy, formation enthalpy, and atomization enthalpy are derived. Earlier results on LnBr3 are summarized. The values of the thermochemical properties are revised by an unified approach to data processing and derivation of thermodynamic functions. The variation of these properties along the lanthanide series is discussed and compared to lanthanide triiodides.
