Full text not available from this repository.A six month old boy is admitted to the children's hospital for sudden loss of consciousness. Hypoglycemia is diagnosed and corrected. Further investigations reveal the diagnosis of hyperinsulinism as underlying cause for hypoglycaemic episodes. Differential diagnosis and therapy of hypoglycemia in infancy are discussed.
