Report on the presentation of two team members of the project TraSIS: Trajectories of Slavery in Islamicate Societies. Three Concepts from Islamic Legal Sources at a workshop hosted by the Institute of History (Chair of Modern History) and the Center for Global Studies of the University of Bern, Switzerland, organized by Sibylle Marti (University of Bern, SNSF Ambizione Fellow). The workshop was opened on March 29 by a lecture by Prof. Seth Rockman (Brown University). On the second day, Prof. Dr Serena Tolino and Dr Omar Anchassi presented the TraSIS project, and Dr Sibylle Marti her Ambizione project.
