This leads to an increasing interest in how to encourage and support potential entrepreneurs. In this paper we explore the interaction between entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial intention. Based on an intention based model a survey among 111 students at the TU Dortmund broadly corroborates the hypothesised positive effect of entrepreneurial education on the intention to start a business. Programmes of entrepreneurship education can shift intentionality and perception regarding the desirability and feasibility of starting a venture. Based on this conclusion there is one clear policy consideration which should be highlighted: the recommendation to stimulate and support entrepreneurship education.
