Peruvian social anthropology has been recently subjected to an increase of audio-visual production and of artistic works within the discipline, ranging from written analyzes that incorporate art and crafts (Bernedo 2011; Gonzales 2011; Ulfe 2014; Yezer and Del Pino 2014) to photographic projects (Poole 2010; Figueroa 2012), non-fiction films (Dietrich 2015, 2017; Malek 2016), virtual museums (i.e.: http://www.museoarteporlasmemorias.pe/) and online blogs, such as https://heedersoto.wordpress.com/. In this paper, we identify the paths that visual anthropology is taking in the country, in order to analyze how these pieces are reinventing social anthropology as an analytical and methodological field. Besides, we also discuss the value, internationally unknown, of anthropologists works inside and outside Peru.
