Die Migration wird heute häufig als Bedrohung für die Frauenrechte gesehen. Doch ein neuer Blick in die Schweizer Geschichte zeigt, dass Immigration, insbesondere aus Italien und Russland, ein wichtiger Katalysator für die Emanzipation der Frau und die Geschlechtergleichheit in der Schweiz war. Die Historikerin Francesca Falk hat diese Entwicklung detailliert untersucht.
