The article deals with the relationship between humans and nature in the shadow of the ecological crisis and with eco-spiritual attitudes in institutionalized and non-institutionalized forms. It is argued that sustainability cannot succeed without spirituality and empathy. The synopsis represents eco-spiritual attitudes against the background of responsive ethics.
